Amending or Dissolving a Trade / Firm Name

Your registered firm name remains on file until it is dissolved. You may dissolve or amend (for change of address or purpose) your firm name registration either in person or by mail. The same person who signed the registration must also sign the dissolution or amendment.

The only things that can be changed with an amendment are address / location and/or purpose / type of business.

Any other changes must be done by dissolving and reopening the business.

You may visit the County Corner in Moorestown Mall from Monday through Friday, 10 am to 7 pm; and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

• Amendment: $50
• Dissolution: $25

You can pay by certified check or money order payable to Burlington County Clerk, or credit / debit card. No cash or business / personal checks will be accepted.

Register by Mail

• Contact the Burlington County Clerk's Office at 609-265-5122 and request a Trade Name Dissolution or Amendment Form.
• Complete the forms as indicated. Signatures must be notarized when applying by mail.
• Mail the completed forms and the required fee to:
