The Burlington County Clerk’s Office is moving its satellite office into a larger, customer-friendly space on Briggs Road in Mount Laurel.

The new County Corner will open on Monday, Jan. 13, in the County-owned building at 1020 Briggs Road, directly off Route 38. Clerk’s Office services such as U.S. Passport applications and photographs, notary commissions, and business trade name registrations will be offered at the location, replacing the office’s longtime satellite at the Moorestown Mall.

Last year, more than 14,000 Passport applications and renewals were processed at the County Corner, and more than 700 notaries were sworn-in there.

After January 13th, residents will be directed to the Briggs Road location for all services. The Moorestown Mall location will permanently close on Jan. 31.

“The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has always prioritized customer service, and we are excited to open this new location in Mount Laurel,” said Burlington County Clerk Joanne Schwartz. “The new County Corner will be a convenient spot for residents to go for a variety of services from the County Clerk’s Office, Burlington County, and the State of New Jersey. It will have extended operating hours, plus a larger, more comfortable space with restrooms, a waiting room, greater privacy, and the potential to process more volume to reduce wait times.”

The new County Corner at Briggs Road will operate under an extended operating schedule Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The County Clerk’s main office at 50 Rancocas Road in Mount Holly operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM.

In addition to the Clerk’s Office services, the new location will have two multi-use offices capable of providing services from other County or State of New Jersey departments.

Parking is more accessible, and residents will not have to compete with mall customers for space.

The Burlington County Office on Aging will have staff at the County Corner location on the first Monday of each month from 11 AM to 1 PM, starting on Monday, Feb. 3. The staff will be present to meet with residents and answer questions about Office on Aging services and the benefits available to county seniors.

Other departments and offices have also expressed interest in sending staff to the location, including the Burlington County Superintendent of Elections and the New Jersey State Health Insurance Assistance Program.

“Burlington County strives to make a difference for every resident, and the new County Corner is a great tool for accomplishing that mission,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “Not only are we bringing Clerk’s Office services to a new, more accessible location, we are also making it easier for residents to connect with other important government services. We are excited by the change and look forward to this office becoming an even greater resource for our residents.”
