Young adults and teens will have the opportunity to connect with dozens of employers during an upcoming Burlington County Youth Job Fair.
The special career fair is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, from 4:30 PM to 7 PM at the Burlington County Human Services Building, 795 Woodlane Road, Westampton. More than 35 employers from various industries and sectors are signed up to attend the event. All of them are actively seeking employees to fill open positions, apprenticeships, internships and seasonal posts.
“Burlington County is the perfect place to live, work and run a business for many reasons; one of them is the quality of our workforce,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “Our county’s youth receive great educations and training from local schools and colleges, including Burlington County Institute of Technology and Rowan College at Burlington County. We are thrilled to partner with the Burlington County Workforce Development Board to hold a career fair designed to connect our younger workers with employers ready to hire.”
The Young Adult Job Fair is open to job seekers ages 16 and up. Participants are encouraged to dress professionally (business attire is recommended) and to bring multiple copies of resumes. Attendees should be prepared to be interviewed at the event.
Among the employers and agencies expected to attend are: 87th Force Support Squadron, Beacon Specialized Living, Bevtek, NJ Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #5, Burlington County Department of Corrections, Burlington County Sheriff’s Office, County of Burlington, Burlington County Institute of Technology/Special Services School District, Diggerland USA, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, The Funplex, Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ and Philadelphia, Hamilton Building Supply Company, Insulators Local 89, Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, Laborers Local 172, Local 592 Cement Mason and Plasters, Local 7 Tile Marble and Terrazzo Union, Liberty Lake Day Camp, New Jersey Army National Guard, New Jersey Department of Corrections, New Jersey State Police, New Lisbon Developmental Center, Public Service Electric & Gas, ResCare NJ, Resources for Independent Living, Rimtec Manufacturing Corporation, Rite Aid, Rowan College at Burlington County, Six Flags Great Adventure, Sonic Drive In, TD Bank, U.S. Army, U.S. Department of Labor-Wage and Hour Division, YMCA-Mount Laurel.
