2. Case Description
   The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Burlington City Police Department are conducting a joint investigation involving the shooting of a Beverly City, New Jersey man that occurred during a carjacking of the victim’s vehicle. On September 26, 2006, at 1:53 a.m., Burlington City Police and EMS personnel responded to Club Risqué, located at 1137 Bordentown Road off Route 130 to investigate a shooting in the parking lot of the Club.
   
   When police arrived they discovered the victim, identified as Gregory L. Coleman, age 27 of Beverly, N.J. on the ground in the parking lot. The victim had been shot in the neck and was immediately air lifted to Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, where he was treated for his injuries. The investigation has revealed that the victim and a male acquaintance exited the club and began to enter a 2005 Chrysler 300M, operated by the victim. As the victim began to enter the driver’s seat, a male approached and the victim exited the vehicle. The two men exchanged words outside of the car. The victim walked toward the front of the vehicle and the suspect entered the car in the driver’s seat. The victim then walked back and confronted the suspect at the driver side door and was shot by the suspect. The suspect then fled in the vehicle. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
   
   The victim’s vehicle was recovered by police approximately 3 hours later on East Broad Street in Burlington City. This investigation is on-going. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the public and are asking anyone with information concerning the shooting to call the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-265-5058 or the Burlington City Police Department at 609-386-0262 or submit information through this website.
