Join us for a community science project presented in partnership with the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. We’ll start off with a brief presentation in the Parks office about vernal pool habitats, with an emphasis on their structure, how to identify them, and the amphibian species that call them home. Afterwards we’ll hike over to Smith’s Woods to observe these special habitats and collect data to be submitted to the Vernal Pool Survey Project. Attendees should come prepared wearing long pants and sturdy waterproof boots or shoes.
