Notary & Passport Services

The County Store (Moorestown Mall) location accepts walk-ins for the public oath of office for notaries, passports, and trade/firm names. 


Notary

To be commissioned as a Notary Public in New Jersey, you must take your Commission Packet to your County Clerk Office's within 90 days to swear to the Notary Public Oath of Office. Please be aware that you must pay an additional fee of $15 to your County Clerk for the recording of your Oath of Office. 

Application

As a convenience to the residents of Burlington County, the County Clerk's Office serves as a passport acceptance agency. We do not issue your passport. Passports are issued by the U.S. Department of State.

First-time applicants must use a DS-11 application form.

Processing Time

Processing time for all passport applications varies depending on the U.S. Department of State. We mail all applications on the following working day. Please plan accordingly.

Should you need your passport quicker, you can expedite your passport application.

Photos may be obtained at the Burlington County Clerk’s Office in Mount Holly or the County Corner location at the Moorestown mall for $10.
