Rutgers Cooperative Extension offers educational programs and services related to Agriculture Resource Management, 4-H Youth Development, Environmental Steward Program, Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) and Master Gardener Program

Agriculture Resource Management

The agricultural staff assists farmers on issues related to crop management, pesticide training, plant disease, and research.

4-H

4-H Youth Development supports the county's 4-H clubs that focus on a variety of topics ranging from animal husbandry to environmental sciences to photography. Membership is open to youth grades K-12.

Environmental Steward Program

A Rutgers Environmental Steward is a volunteer that is trained in the important environmental issues affecting New Jersey, and works to solve local, community problems. Burlington County training starts this fall!

FCHS

The FCHS staff offers presentations, training, web-based information, and fact sheets on topics related to nutrition, health promotion, food safety, school wellness, family development, and consumer education.

Master Gardener Program

Trained Master Gardeners volunteers answer questions on lawn maintenance, gardening, landscaping and plant diseases and insects. Soil testing is available for a nominal fee.
