Meet our final woman of the week, Jazzmia Hidalgo!
Jazzmia is a 16 year old Burlington Township High School student. Ever since the 6th grade she has always wanted to learn more about black history. There is a lot of things that she has taught herself over the years because she simply felt like the school system didn’t teach enough black history.
When Trayvon Martin was murdered, she started to notice injustice in the United States. When she found out about the killing of George Floyd, she knew she had to do something other than just post on social media. She along with the help of two close friends decided to start a protest.
She saw that there was not a protest in her town so she created one. She really hope to educate people and influenced people to fight for what they believe in. Her next goal is to make change in our nation and end all racism for all upcoming generations.
