[ARCHIVED] Presumptive Positive Cases Total

COVID-19 website

Burlington County Health Department announces additional cases of COVID-19. Following directives from the Attorney General’s Office and the New Jersey Department of Health we are issuing COVID-19 case information in a new format.

“We are deeply saddened to report two more Burlington County residents have succumb to the scourge of Coronavirus Disease,” said Dr. Herb Conaway. ”This loss should strengthen everyone’s resolve to follow by the social distancing and other safety requirements set out by State and Federal health officials. Only by working together can we protect the most vulnerable among us.”

CONTACT TRACING CLARIFICATION

Burlington County is actively engaged in contact tracing positive COVID19 cases. The focus is on close contacts, defined as closer than 6 feet for more than 10 minutes, household contacts and those that work in high risk settings such as healthcare workers and long term care facilities. If community exposure has occurred, where a COVID-19 positive person was in close contact with people for an extended period of time, while symptomatic, we will notify the public. Since residents are abiding by the social distancing requirements, we have not run into that issue since our first releases.
