[ARCHIVED] Freeholder Director Tom Pullion Announces the Next Spring Paper Shredding Event

Burlington County residents will once again have an opportunity to recycle their confidential documents at the next free paper shredding event on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex in Florence. The event may end early if shredding trucks become full.

“The Freeholder Board is pleased to offer this great county service to our residents,” said Freeholder Director Pullion. “We would like to thank the many residents who participated in the successful March event that resulted in a record breaking turnout.”

Confidential documents accepted for on-site shredding include bank and credit card statements, tax returns, and papers with account numbers or social security numbers. Already-shredded paper will also be accepted. Absolutely NO binders, plastic folders, computer disks, plastic credit cards, magazines or junk mail. Non-confidential material will be returned to residents.

To ensure that the maximum number of residents can participate, there is a limit of four bags or boxes per car. Residents exceeding this limit will be asked to hold excess papers until the next event.

Once again, volunteers will be on hand to unload confidential files while residents remain in the comfort of their cars.

This free event is for Burlington County residents only. ID is required. No businesses, please. The event is hosted by Board of Chosen Freeholders.

The Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex is located at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road, Florence, NJ 08518. Upcoming shredding events will be posted on the County website or to receive notifications of upcoming events, download the free RecycleCoach App on your smartphone.
