Lights dim, and the audience erupts with a deafening roar as the band walks out of fog and darkness. The crowd thrusts forward, and the energy rises like a storm surge, bodies lift into the air and crash down in front of the stage. Poised in the center of all the madness is a photographer capturing the split-second world that lives within the flicker of light and shadow. This exhibit will allow you to glimpse through the lens of a select few that brave the chaos in the crowd.

Out of the Darkness and into the Light is a collective exhibit of twelve professional music photographers from around the Tri-State area.

These photographers offer you a glimpse through their lens, capturing the many different genres and styles of live music.

MAY 16 – JULY 7- MONOCHROMATIC, Annex Gallery

This show is not as black and white as you may think. Monochromatic and monotone is so much more than black & white or grayscale. Monochrome simply means ‘of one color’ ‘what color’ is, is entirely up to the artists. Color can change the feel and flow of an image to evoke a unique mood. Color can be bright and vibrant, or dark and deep even if it is only one scale or tone.
