Outdoor Weddings, Receptions, & Catered Events
The Park System offers a variety of venues and locations for an outdoor wedding ceremony, reception, or catered event. Catered affairs are available April through October at the beautiful venues shown below. A list of first class caterers will be provided for you. Your chosen caterer will customize everything for your event. You can view each of the spaces during daily business hours, or you may request an appointment to be shown the space.

The Grounds at Smithville Mansion
803 Smithville Road, Eastampton, NJ 08060
The crown jewel of the Burlington County Parks System, Smithville Park was once a thriving company town founded in the 1800s by Hezekiah B. Smith, an inventor, entrepreneur and politician who lived in the stately mansion that remains on the property.
Built in 1840, the Greek revival building is surrounded by stone and brick courtyard walls that encompass a formal parterre garden, grape arbor and lawn areas. While the mansion is not available for rent, the courtyard grounds within the walls may be reserved for catered affairs.
A 40x80 foot tent that can accommodate up to 160 people, lighting and electric, parking and accessible bathrooms are included with the rental. Landscaping varies during the year.
Community Agricultural Center
500 Centerton Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057
Located at the intersection of Centerton and Hartford Roads in Moorestown, the Agricultural Center sits nestled on a 62 acre preserved working farm which is home to a seasonal farmers’ market held on Saturdays from May-October. The newly renovated farmhouse includes meeting space and the farmhouse kitchen, a commercial kitchen providing kitchen space for local farmers and food entrepreneurs to explore. The Market Barn, perfect for an outdoor, rustic celebration, measures 105 x 40 feet and is covered with open sides. Capacity is 175. The Market Plaza which measures approximately 105 x 110 feet and has one 30 x 60 foot event tent. Please review our map here (PDF).
The Grounds at the Prison Museum

The Burlington County Prison Museum is a national historic landmark that was designed by renowned architect Robert Mills and completed in 1811. Today, the prison museum and attached Warden’s House Gallery feature an enclosed yard once used by the prisoners for exercise. While the museum is not available, the 114 x 148 foot yard may be reserved for catered events. Accessible bathrooms are included and tents may be rented from a private vendor or through the selected caterer.
Lyceum of History & Natural Sciences
307 High Street, Mount Holly, NJ 08060
The Burlington County Lyceum of History and Natural Sciences is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A stately two and a half story Georgian building, the Langstaff Mansion was built in 1830 by wealthy plantation owner, James Langstaff. The building features original crystal chandeliers, blue marble fireplaces, painted glass panes, and decorative trim and molding, on over two acres of landscaped grounds. The grounds and the community room, measuring 24 by 43 feet, are available to rent for catered events. The maximum capacity is 72.
How it works: To have a catered event at one of our facilities, you must use one of the pre-approved caterers on our list. Don't worry - they're all fabulous! We've done a lot of work for you! Once you reserve the space with us, you pay a deposit on the facility to us. Once your caterer is chosen, your chosen caterer gets assigned the balance of the rental and becomes the main contact with us for your event. If you have questions, give us a call!
